Home Health & Hospice Services . . . http://cns-cares.org

The Community Nursing Services Senior Wish Program continues to help fulfill the personal life wishes of Utah’s seniors.  Our Senior Wish Program Coordinator has had an exciting and busy Summer!

Joe, a home health patient in the CNS West office loves to fish, but hasn’t had the opportunity to go fishing for several years.  Thanks to his nurse Amber and a generous donation by professional fly fisherman, Steve Cook, Joe’s Senior Wish became a reality.  On a recent beautiful September day, Joe was treated to an all day fishing adventure.  He thoroughly enjoyed his day out fishing, especially when they caught several fish!

Community Nursing Serivices was awarded the 2011 Best of State medal for Charitable Service Organization in the division of Community Development. Winners in each Best of State® category are awarded the prestigious Best of State Medal. In 2010, CNS was awarded Best of State for Nursing Sevices in the Business Services division.

CNS was also received the Best of State Statue (BOSS) award at the Best of State Awards Gala held in May. The Best of State Medal winners in each of the ten Best of State Awards Program divisions are evaluated to determine which Medal winner is the most outstanding in their division. The Best of State Statue, the BOSS® is awarded to the most outstanding Medal winner in each division.

Congratulatios to all CNS staff for this great recognition and accomplishment!

Community Nursing Services is proud to announce the merger of two of the State’s premier home care providers, Community Nursing Services (CNS) and Love Healthcare! CNS will remain the parent company and we will remain a non-profit organization dedicated to serving our communities statewide and sustaining our mission as a non-profit.  The merger with Love Healthcare will improve the overall effectiveness of the organization and strengthen our position to respond to the expected impact on the home health and hospice industry by health care reform.

CNS welcomes Love Healthcare to our team!

CNS will be participating in the  Annual Susan G. Komen Salt Lake City Race for the Cure®, May 7, 2011 at the Gateway Mall.
